Hey
Comedian and SNL cast member
He became one of the youngest cast members in Saturday Night Live history when he joined at age 20 in 2014.
Pete Davidson is an American comedian and actor who joined Saturday Night Live in 2014 at age 20, becoming one of the youngest cast members in the show's history and the first born in the 1990s. Born November 16, 1993, the Scorpio native starred on SNL for eight seasons before branching into films like The King of Staten Island (2020), The Suicide Squad (2021), and Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022). He has released three comedy specials and co-created the Peacock series Bupkis (2023).
Davidson grew up in Staten Island, New York, where his father Scott Davidson, an FDNY firefighter, died during the September 11 attacks when Pete was seven years old. The trauma led him to struggle in school and with suicidal thoughts, but he found solace in comedy and performed his first stand-up set at age 16 at a Staten Island bowling alley after friends dared him to take the stage. He attended multiple high schools including St. Joseph by-the-Sea, Tottenville, and Xaverian before graduating in 2011, then enrolled at St. Francis College for one semester before dropping out to pursue comedy full-time.
Davidson has had a highly publicized dating history including relationships with Cazzie David, a brief engagement to Ariana Grande in 2018, and a relationship with Kim Kardashian from 2021 to 2022. He is not married. He lives with his mother Amy Davidson and sister Casey Davidson, who remain close to him after his father's death. Standing at approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, Davidson has removed many of his tattoos to streamline his film career, as extensive tattoo coverage required hours of makeup work on set. He has been open about living with Crohn's disease since age 17 and advocates for mental health awareness, crediting rapper Kid Cudi's music with saving his life during dark periods.
He was the first Saturday Night Live cast member born in the 1990s.
Davidson removed over 100 tattoos to reduce makeup time on film sets from three hours to minutes.
His most famous SNL character was Chad, an apathetic man easily distracted in absurd situations.
He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2016 at age 22.
Davidson uses medical marijuana to manage symptoms of Crohn's disease and has said he cannot function without it.
I think the hardest part about being a kid was not having a dad.
