Zara Larsson, born December 16, 1997, is a Swedish pop singer who rose to fame after winning Talang in 2008 at age 10. She achieved international success with hits like Lush Life (2015), Never Forget You with MNEK, and Symphony with Clean Bandit, which topped charts across Europe. Her five studio albums include So Good (2017), Poster Girl (2021), Venus (2024), and Midnight Sun (2025), with her 2025 collaboration with PinkPantheress reaching number one on the Billboard Global 200.
Larsson grew up in Enskede, south of Stockholm, and attended the Royal Swedish Ballet School starting in third grade before transferring to Kulturama art school. At age 10, she won the 2008 season of Talang (Sweden's Got Talent), earning 500,000 kronor and releasing her debut single, a cover of Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On, which peaked at number seven in Sweden. She cited Carola Häggkvist and Whitney Houston as early inspirations, saying she knew from age five that she wanted to become immortal like Elvis Presley.
Larsson was born in Solna Municipality, Stockholm, to parents Agnetha and Anders Larsson; her mother works as a nursing assistant and her father as an officer. She has a younger sister, Hanna, who is three years her junior and is a singer in the band Lennix. Larsson identifies as a feminist and has been vocal about social and political issues throughout her career.
