Hey
Telugu and Hindi film actress
She became one of India's most recognized actresses after starring in the pan-India blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise (2021) and its sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024).
Rashmika Mandanna, born April 5, 1996, is an Indian actress who works in Telugu and Hindi films. She won four SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South, and Forbes India named her to its 2024 list of "30 Under 30." One of India's highest-paid actresses, she gained pan-India recognition with Pushpa: The Rise (2021) and starred in Animal (2023) and Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024), her highest-grossing films.
Rashmika Mandanna grew up in Virajpet, a town in Karnataka's Kodagu district, where her father owns a coffee estate. She won The Times of India's Clean & Clear Fresh Face pageant in 2014 and began a brief modeling career. Her first movie, the Kannada romantic comedy Kirik Party (2016), became the year's highest-grossing Kannada film after director Rishab Shetty noticed her pageant win in 2015.
Rashmika Mandanna is married to actor Vijay Deverakonda. She comes from a Kodava Hindu family; her father Madan Mandanna owns a coffee estate and function hall, her mother Suman is a homemaker, and she has a younger sister named Shiman. She studied psychology, journalism, and English literature at M. S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Bengaluru.
She is an Aries, born on April 5, which astrologers associate with determination and leadership qualities.
Her breakthrough role in Geetha Govindam (2018) opposite Vijay Deverakonda became her first film to cross ₹1 billion at the domestic box office.
She attended Coorg Public School, a boarding school in Gonikoppal, where she struggled with communication and connecting with peers.
If her debut film Kirik Party had failed, she planned to return home to manage her father's coffee business.
She is a celebrity endorser for numerous brands and was made a Clean & Clear brand ambassador after winning their pageant in 2014.
