Offer Nissim is an Israeli DJ, remixer, and record producer who has been a dominant force in electronic dance music since 1983. He produced Dana International's Eurovision-winning song "Diva" in 1998 and has created official remixes for Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and Cher. He ranked four times on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs list, peaking at number 29 in 2006.
Born in Tel Aviv in 1964 as the eldest of three children to parents of Iraqi-Jewish descent, Nissim displayed a keen interest in music from a young age. His musical career started in 1979 when he had to stand in for an absent DJ at Tel Aviv's Theater Club. He formed important professional relationships at the Theater Club during the 1980s, including with Dana International.
Nissim is known by the nickname "Offera" in the Israeli LGBTQ community. He has been a central figure in Tel Aviv's gay club scene for over four decades. He was named Israel's DJ of the Year from 2005 to 2007.
