Corinne Allal was an Israeli rock musician, composer, and music producer who released her first album in 1984. She won the 2022 Landau Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contribution to Israeli music. Her song "Ein Li Eretz Acheret" became popular across Israeli society.
Allal was born in Tunis in 1955 and immigrated to Israel at age 8 after her father, a Mossad operative, feared for his family's safety. She struggled with language difficulties as a French-speaking immigrant. During her military service she performed in IDF bands including Lehakat Pikud Darom, where she played alongside Yehudit Ravitz.
Allal was married to her personal manager, Ruti Allal, and they raised two sons together. The couple separated in 2017 after 18 years but rekindled their relationship in 2019. She lived openly as a lesbian and resided in moshav Ganot. She battled breast cancer in 2009 and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2023. She died on December 12, 2024 at age 69.
